asus p5k premium SOUND and vista

okay since this is a cpu and motherboard forum i have some issues ibelieve.


my sound is not very loud, all the volumes are up etc etc using intregrated

but with vista its not very loud, i have to turn up my receiver way more to get the loudness i get in windows XP..

i dont get it.. is it vista?

i am using SPDIF, and jacks on the z5500 and also a different receiver and speakers..

the XP sound i have to turn it down if i leave it at 50DB...
or is it the motherboard?

suggestions? help?

I too have noticed that Vista does seem a bit more quiet compared to XP. It's not dramatic, but is noticeable while using my X-Fi Elite Pro hooked up to an Arcam AVR-200 and Dahlquist surround speakers.

What's the speakers set to in the speaker panel in the control panel? Mess around with that and see if it helps if you set it to different stuff.

Other than that...umm, Vista sucks?
