Hey everyone,
im kinda frustrated from unsuccessful search for answears about the GA-P35 series.

I know the DS3R clocks well, but I know nothing of the cheaper more affordable boards.
so what I want to know is:
How well does the P35-DS3\S3\DS3L\CS3 clock? what are their limits or drawbacks against the more expensive DS3R?

thank you all.
be blessed by good clocks. :P

thanx.

I have an "L" but don't have a quad to run it yet. I bought it because it was cheaper and by what "I" saw the only difference was, raid.

I will build it later this month or early next. I will post something then, but I am sure you will have some answers before then.

here's my GA-P35-DS3L on an E2140 (stock HSF) + 2gig of Gskill HZ

mem is at 2.19volt...haven't push it any higher so not sure how much room there is left. Same with the CPU, as i dont feel the need to drop 50 buck for a good HSF....yet :D

Cool man, nice round freq. :P

but what i would really like to know is:
can this board be pushed above 400FSB, easily?
details about this series !@#! #@! :D :D

thank you all.

I have my ds3l running a e2140 running at 8X400 = 3200mhz
I haven't tried it past 400 because my memory is cheap 667 crucial rendition and its already straining at 800 but I think it would be able to handle it.

Just used 2 DS3L's for customer builds. I didn't OC much as I was using the stock coolers, but I figured I'd post it. Ran the two E4300's @ 2.4GHz, stock volts... which is 266x9. Not much of an overclock but they were stable!

I'm running a GA-P35-S3L with a Q6600 B3.

I'm at 2.8GHz right now, at 9x312.

I know it can go higher, as I've done 3.6GHz at 9x400.

Not sure what the FSB limit on my board is, but it's good enough for me.

thanx people. seems promising.
It sure would be reassuring if i'd seen lot more of those scores.

thanx alot !

it's a good board, except it doesn't have raid and 1:1 memory support...other than that, no problem so far here.......

@jdm003

what do you mean the DS3L doesn't have 1:1 memory support? if i want to run an e2140 333x8 with DDR2-667 1:1 fsb:dram will that not work?

Also, will you post your voltages for FSB, MCH, CPU. Are you using aftermarket northbridge cooling? Thanks.

i meant the setting in bios, i haven't run my cpu at 333 x 8 to see if it actually work or not. Everything on this board is stock, no aftermarket cooler for the northbridge. CPU is running at 1.38volt (in windows) i dont know how to measure voltate for FSB, MCH? any help?

Umm... this board does have 1:1, you select 2X in the bios and it will run 1:1.

As I said im at 8X400 1:1 so 800 on the memory or 1600fsb rated.

I have run this at 438 x 8 before with no problems, Currently I'm running at 351 x 10 but this voltage whoring 26A E6700 doesn't seem to go any higher.

My current best Super Pi so far is 14.663 seconds and 3DMark06 is 11,078..

I have ran this RAM at 4-2-2-3 timings at 842MHz, currently running @ DDR2-876 4-4-4-4 @ 2.2V for RAM.. Current Vcore is 1.488 under full Orthos load and I don't wanna run a higher Vcore even thought I'm running a TRUE 120.

Also installed a Thermalright HR-05 SLi/IFX Northbridge heatsink.
