Hi,

I turned HT on in the bios (1008 final) but Sisoft Sandra or CPUZ reporting only one CPU. Why?

Other OC specs are:

Config:
FSB 270 / 5:4 / MAM on (doesn't matter I know) / turbo setting / RAM @ 2-2-2-5 / HT on

System:
2,6 C / P4P800 (1008) / 2x 512 MB Corsair PC3200C2 / WinXP SP1

Running one instance of prime95 shows 100% load in the system monitor.

When you open up the task manager does it see 2 CPU's? (like this)

edit: damn, Major Slaughter beat me to it! :)

Try clearing your cmos, if that doesn't enable HT then you might have a bad cpu ? dont really know what else to try.

What do you have your MPS support set to in bios ? I don't think you can disable it only select 1.1 or 1.4 ?

Device Manager: 2 CPUs, MPS support is set to 1.4 in the bios.

Update: MPS set to 1.1 does not make a difference. Perhaps the change of the mobo from IC7 (scrapped by wrong vdimm mod) to the P4P800 corrupted the WinXP installation (muli -> single processor)??!! On the IC7 the two CPUs were present in the task manager.

Solved. I had to perform a repair installation of my WinXP SP1. Now, HT is availble. :D

Thanks for the help.
