Hi all,
I just got the above combination and I will use it with a prometeia system.
However after installing the system, I have the following screen in the mbm.
http://users.otenet.gr/~trooper/mbm2.jpg
As you can see, CPU temps seem ok, but the real problem I believe is in the CPU core volt which appears below 1.5 volts at all times, even under pcmark!
This mainboard gives up to 1.6v but if I put 1.6v, I get 1.53v in mbm reading and of course if that is true it is not enough to do any serious oc.
I have managed to go in windows at 250x14 (3.5Ghz) but it will not run pcmark, it will crash at the cpu text search. Also I am getting random reboots even if I am doing nothing in windows!
I dont think its my psu (Enermax 465) or the RAM (OCZ 3700) because I even used 3/2 divider in the bios..
Can some1 help ?

I tried the mobo..and did also notice some heavy undervolting.
There is a vcore modd out...search on this forum and you´ll fins it.
There is also a beta bios out that allows 1.85vcore...u can fins it HERE (http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=6217)
One other thing ...if take a look at OCZ site they ar reporting that PC3700Gold doen´t like to have CPC "Enabled" in bios...you might wanna trie that out.
Good Luck..!!!

try running other vcore options, but not 1.6v

Trooper,
I have the same board, but running a 2.4c (check my sig)
The board you have is actually a VERY VERY good overclocking board, if [NH]Naughtyboy is right and u can hit 1.85vcore with the new bios, then there is no limitations as to what this board can do.
It allows you 3.4v on the dimm, without needing any mods.
New bios allows 1.85v on the core.. what else could you ask for.
Regarding your Core, mine is currently set @ 1.525 but MBM reports @ 1.47 to 1.49 and changes every now and again, but this hasnt limited me to o/c.
Currently I am hitting 326 FSB STABLE, with stock cooling, that is a bonus in its self, as YOU know that anything is possible, as someone else has done it with the same board as you :)
Just o/c away, you will be surprised, as I was.

As a side NOTE I HAVENT tried the new BIOS, dont have the need for it at the moment. I have heard that it only give you stable @ 1.65v

DO NOT INSTALL THE OLD BETA BIOS.
THE LATEST CAN DO 1.75VCORE !!
i've got 1.75vcore, by using the negative vcore options.
tis a great board
as i can now get higher OC's

it depands from the rev. mainboard you have, the 1.0 and 1.1 will alow you with the special bios a Vcore from max 1.85.
BUT with the rev 1.2 you will never be able to get a higher Vcore like max 1.65.
The rev. 2.0 will come with a compleet new voltage circuit which will alow the Vcore to 1.85 again without any undervoltage.;)
here maybe something to solve your problem:

I'm gonna try that beta BIOS tonight to see if I can get 1.85 on my Rev. 1.1.

I installed the beta bios and indeed it gives me voltages up to 1.85.
However I really would not like to use more than 1.65 for everyday use and if you put 1.6, it is actually 1.65 if you measure it with a volt-meter.
My CPU seems to be the problem as it does not want to oc more than 3.5Ghz stable. Even there it needed 1.65v and it failed prime after 10 minutes.
I still have some reasearch to do before I conclude for this CPU/mainboard. So far I believe that the mainboard is very good, and it has everything you need.
I'll get back with results.

Can you tell us the following:
chip?
ram?
mobo?
cooling?
maybe there is a combination problem or... there is one item that is limiting you for stable o/c

The chip is 3315, Costa Rica 2.8C
Ram is OCZ 3700 EL
Mobo is the 4PCA3+
Prometeia cooling
I have not done any extra cooling on the rest of the mobo...
