Right now I've got a Radeon 9700 PRO that hits anywhere from 80 to 200 FPS in Raven Shield at 1280x1024 with 6x FSAA and 16x AF, and I'm very, very happy with it. However, I am interested in getting an All-in-Wonder card. I match competitively in Raven Shield and I would like to be able to record my matches, and then convert them into DivX files so that my team and myself can study the matches and whatnot. Now, I tried this before by downloading FRAPS. It recorded fine, but my frames per second while actually playing Raven Shield dropped dramatically down to 30 FPS and sometimes lower than that.
If I were to get the All-in-Wonder 9800 PRO, do you think I would be able to record my matches and still get great FPS like I did with my 9700 PRO when not recording with FRAPS? Anyone ever tried this? Also, I don't really like using FRAPS, does ATi provide their own software to record things?
