Anyone have the new TEC or any info other than what is on the forums.

Worse internal design than the newer Swiftech block (although very similar), extremely thick base which when not used with a tech would be BAD, but I'm not sure if the extra copper will actually be beneficial in a TEC cooling situation. Also, four fittings is ridiculous, and ALU mid-plate = eventual corrosion.
Not worth the buck.

The way the artic web is made works great for hight powered 62mm tec. but not much good other then that. As enJoy said the ALU makes it more likely you will get corrosion.
IMHO the best block out right now is the fuzion but it will only do the 50mm tec's. That means the max 226/320W tec is the best you can get.
the price aint nice apart from what youve said

ok so where do i get a 50mmx50mm 320W tec panal? all i can find is the 62mm version
and on top of that what would be needed to get the d-tek to use the tec
and would it just be better to use the swiftech and up to the 320w
and the eventual corrosion about how long is it more then a yr or 2

look on ebay for a 320w tec. As for the fuzion to do tec you would need a cold plate and a way to mount it to the waterblock.
as for the corrosion I have no idea how long it will take to happen because it is always different.
IMHO I like playing with tec but it is out of date for use on a pc unless your trying to put it on video card or northbridge.

When oh when, will we see new advances in thermoelectric [Peltier] unit efficiency.

That is a very good question!! I sure wish we would see some but I don't think we ever will! :(
