I am working on a lvl 24 Fae Guardian, among other characters.
Are you on often? I am looking for others to venture with, because going solo gets boring quick and is not all that easy.

stopped playing a while ago. Get used to soloing unless you are L60 or so, most of the characters in the game are up past 60 by now. I stopped playing as I had trouble grouping at L45 :shakes:

on my laptop very well - 1920x1200 on the high quality setting is just about fine as log as its not too busy (ie qeynos harbour) but dropping it down 1 notch to the one above balanced sorts that out - its a 2.2 Ghz, 2GB ram with 8700m GT.

The trials are really limited.

been playing since dec 2004... countless toons spread over 4 accounts...
as for the trial... well, yes, it is really heavily limited.. get the full game instead:p:
performance? well, it was developed back then when there where no dual (or more) cores in sight... so it doesnt make use of them, also, unlike newer games (bioshock as an example) it relies far more on the cpu and ram for performance than the gpu.
eq2 comes with tons of graphics options though... you can make it run on a crap computer (but it will look ugly, still 100 times better than wow), or, with a highend system with all bells and whistles turned on... (except for raiding, to raid with highest quality settings will prolly not be possible for another year or two due to pc's not being able to handle it.)

Na I'll stick to one mmo 2 is to expensive and time consuming, i put to much time in wow and enjoy it to buy eq. I relise the trials arel imited, what i mean by not versitial is that the the way charrecter's move and the way you fight in the game is to limited, i feal like im moving stick figures around on the a map with no movement really.
Wow the movement is so open and easy, you can do anything.

Been playing the Original EverQuest since around July 1999, people are still coming back to it having tried other games etc. lol
New Expansion coming out in November/December "The Secrets of Faydwer" - expansion releases are yearly as from this one, so the content should be huge.

You think wow doesnt take skill ? I agree it may seem like gear wise, but i can garuntee you that if you play someone who knows what he is doing no amount og gear can make you win, there are only a few people on my server that have emmense skill. While the others are just eh

While the others are just ehAhhh now your looking at it from a different perspective to me - I was never really into PvP, I originally played the original EverQuest straight away on PvP - Rallos Zek server, the actual classes were totally unballanced - Wizards could kill any player with 2 spells only taking maybe less than 12 seconds, Necromancers were totally powerful as well with there Dots, PvP had to be nerfed for certain classes to balance PvP otherwise it woudnt matter if you was very skilled player or not.
Since then I have gone onto what many people would call "Care Bear" server i.e. no PvP unless in PvP areas etc, I think I'm more of a strategist that a PvP'er as in raiding & finding ways to defeat raid encounters with 50+ people, organisation etc - EQ does take skill especially raiding - one fcuk up by an indivdual can cause a whole raid to wipe on the higher level 70+ content.
For me World of warcraft, I just didnt like the graphics or the way the game played plus it seemed to cartoony to me - maybe I was just too used to playing EverQuest & the added fact I had put alot of time & effort into my character drived me back, same goes for EQ II & Vanguard although that game was never ready for release.

Well im talkin about pvp or PVE. higher end raid instances "or dungeons if you will" require great teamwork and skill. You cant just have a healer or tank for say with good gear and say go tank him even if he knows how to tank there is more to it then just doing that. The thing about conserving mana, healing the right people first and the others last which spell to use what level ect. You dont just push 1 button. Im a paladin and iv been healing for years of course i can garuntee you im better then most of the paladins out there, which is why im the class leader and why im always #1 on healing, and leats on overhealing granted overhealing is good on some occasions like boss fights but in general overhealing = waste of mana. Also its the same with wow 1 screw up from someone can wipe the entire raid its been like that since day 1. If you think otherwise you obviously havent raided in wow
For example i just joined a guild to try em out, I already surpased there best healer, and iv done it in many other guilds too. I leave guilds that have bad healers simply because my skill and time isnt worth being around people like that.
Wow taks alot of skill to play. Im not talkin about the "kiddie dungeons here" im talkin about raiding the end game dungeons.
The graphics are little cartoony but i like em, i play for the enjoyment not for the graphics. Wow is a bigger set scale then everquest. The graphics in the new expansion are alot better, still cartoonyish but still alot better

I have 4 level 70 100AA toons. I 3-box with the a Berserker, Templar and Troubadour on the Crushbone server. I solo with my Wizard. The "casual" guild I belong to only raids about once a week so we're still on the KoS raid content. :(
Currently I'm completing collections, readying quests for turn-in, and building a huge war chest for the RoK expansion in November. :D

Lets see....Played Evercrack 1 since 1999, and IMO at that time the game was not ready then. Was not till Kunark came out for EQ1 that the game became fun for me.
So then EQ2 comes out..same way, Buggy...Laggy. But it got better after 6 months of patches. That was all i played since...now i got two Lv 70 end game toons waiting for the next step...Kunark to return.
i play on the kithcor server with my brother and cousin...

I played EQ1 for a few years, loved it, tried going back and I dont love it so much anymore :P.
EQ2 was fun initially but I lasted maybe 2 months.
Played wow off and on since release, two accounts as of now with 3 70s, haven't touched em in about 4 months. When the next expansion comes out one account will go to my girlfriend, I figure having her around will help hold my interest. I like MMO games, but without someone with you they get boring quick.
