Ok, so i've been looking around, i see people with a few volt modded 2900xt's, but no info on how they were done. a quick search with 2900xt + volts gives a couple threads, no info. the last time i checked ati tool would do voltages, but it didn't keep them, it would seem it would change 2d voltage, then you open up a game and it will be at the 1.2v core.

so is there a bios flashing app about, a way to change 3d voltage in the bios, anyone to get ati tool to do 3d voltages, or keep voltages with clock changes, another app i haven't thought of, or info on volt mods for the card.

i'm on water, can't get much behind 870/970 ish with pretty damn low temps, and minimal clock increases over stock cooling that was running 30-35c hotter.

there seems to be a complete absense of 2900xt volt mod threads in the mods/bios mods section which seems weird.

damnit, using vista x64 and just tried ati tool again but apparently one of the updates for vista disabled the integrity check option you could add to boot every time without driver signing checks so i can't run it without rebooting, and would always need to f8/disable checks on every boot which i'd never remember. is there anything i can use to simply rip the bios i have in my card now, and change voltages/booting clocks and reflash a modded bios back onto my card?

you and me and the rest of the world... right now i am hoping for hipro or wizzard to save us all. hipro has started a thread that hopefully will lead to info about raising voltages and of course wizzard is the creator of atitool. as you already mentioned the voltages drop back to stock when you apply clock settings. obviously many many people around the world are trying to find a solution but no real progress yet. AMD are the only ones who have a working bios flash tool and they don't want it to be public.
