I bought a used vapochill a couple of weeks ago, unfortuantly he never sent me the serial cable for the chill control !
Could someone that has the serial cable please ohm it out and let me know the pin out so I can make one ! It should be very simple I think there are only 4 wires in the cable.
I would appreaciate any help ! thanks !

As per PM I just couldnt get it working bud :(
Do they sell cables at electrical stores with the serial connector one end and the rj45 connector at the other end?

I checked here at a computer store that sorta specializes in cables, Cablemart ! hehe, and they said that they had never seen one. It would be very easy to make if I knew the pin out but Asetek isn't being helpful !!
Thanks for you help Creative !!! ;) I appreciate your efforts ! I posted in the wanted section, maybe somebody has an extra cable they will sell me.

I'll get out the multimeter tomorow when i get a bit of time, and check where the cables go on either end. I'll post back with the results then.

Thanks guys ! :toast:
I'm concerned because I'm puttting r404a in both the vapo and promie this week and I need to change from the default settings for fan speed and hold temp.

Be sure to post your question in the Vapochill forums.. plenty of users to draw upon from, one of them surely has the information you need.
Maybe some Asetek employee will tell you the info in the forum, too.. I think whoever you talked to was more into sales than technical info.
I've got a vapochill, but its the classic socket with original basic chillcontrol, so I cant help out more than this..

Ok, i opened up the serial connector thingy, and i have drawn up a diagram in paint.
It is a dodgy drawing, but it has all the info you need. I don't have a digicam at the moment, i will have one tomorow if anyone wants some pics of it.

Ok cable worked !! Thanks again for you help !!
The previous owner had set the chill control to hold at -15c and had the condensor fan at 30%
With the hold temp at -24 and fan at 100% I'm getting 8'c better temps ! hehe

No probs, glad i could help. :)
You might as well set the hold temp to -50deg. That will force the compressor to run 100% all the time, which you will need when you fill it with r404a.
