Im about to replace my XP 1600+ with a nice shiny barton. I was going for a 3000+ but i was thinking i could drop a 3200+ in there but here's the snag i only have PC2700 ram and i dont know if it's good for 200 Mhz. I fudged unlocking my 1600+ so can't test it out (the highest i've got it is 161 Mhz). I know M-Tec stuff ain't as good as the Winbond but I've got 3.2v Dimm and i'm not scared to use it!:rocker:. Would running it 200 Mhz Async be a good test?. Cheers

3000+ is 333MHz FSB I do believe, running the memory async i.e. @ 400MHz FSB wont actually strain it, you would actually have to run the memory in sync and then raise the FSB to actually see if it can hit 200FSB.
