Too tall, none of the heat will make it to the top of the fin.
They should try to focus the air more towards the core.

how ya gonna fit a fan ??
personally i love the igloo4300 retension mechanism.. you can install it with one hand
this in full copper with more fins and a 50% taller would be nice :D

I dont think its "to tall" honestly. But you will need some mighty cfm for it.
Would help the "size" issue if the fins were thinner.

the fins are as thin as we can make them
a side mounted fan is a posibility

2 pound heatsinks dont typicaly make good nb coolers so we had to do soemthing dif for the NB
:D
That NB one looks like one of those Zalman things. Will it take a fan?

it does look a bit too tall, and as sandman pointed out, not much of the heat will travel up that far... but if u using a sidemounted fan then that's a bit different..
umm the base looks a bit too thin??

U know how thick the base of the slk is. Its a pain in the ass to cut off a chunk of it. I cut off the right side with a dremel alone.
