I'm in the process of setting up my forst watercooling rig. I have a Maze3 CPU bloxk and another block for the northbridge, as well as a block for my TI4400. I have an Asus P4C800-Deluxe and a Abit IS7 presently. Unfortunately, neither has holes for the northbridge, and I don't feel like using an epoxy. I'll probably end up tearing it down when the prescott and the new boards come out anyway in a few months. What I want to know is which of the boards would you choose to set up in this system? I want MAXIMUM bandwith and overclockability. I've read many reviews that they both OC pretty much the same. I will be using a P4 3.0C for the rig. I should also mention, which ever mobo is left, I am probably going to put up FS. I should also mention with the history of the Asus board, I do plan to set it up in RAID0. I spoke to an Asus rep, though he was reluctant to admit that the board every had a problem to begin with (stutter when the array was accessed), he did say that the new Promise drivers for the board took care of all of the past "unconfirmed issues". Has anybody actually set the Asus up in a RAID0 array lately? is the problem fixed? Thanks in advance folks.

well either board is fine for watercooling.
but watercooling the northbridge is alittle tricky.

heres what I did.

1. I had a spare shim from a 9700 Pro laying around, and found it was a near perfect fit for the northbridge of the P4C800, which I have.
that core is awefully little so I wanted a shim to level it off abit.

2. go to home depot.
but a square foot of thick Plexi glass.
then buy 4 small J hooks and bolts.

3. use the plexi glass to make a bracket that goes around your waterblock, then 4 holes in the corner for the J hooks

I did the same thing with some metal brackets I had from my son's Koolance system. I used a MCW50 and it works very well, the only thing you have to be careful off is overtightning the eye bolts as the small clips that are soldierd to the mb will pull right off ! I know !!!!!! lol It might be a good idea if the mb isn't installed in the case yet to go ahead and put some extra soldier on the backside of the pins on the mb just to be on the safe side.
