Guys, I have such a problem:

What is that CA certificate they tell about?

I don't know. All I can suggest is shut down BOINC and restart and see if the same thing happens.
First part is fine. Sometimes rthe servers can be down for maintainence

try now, servers are up and running, I just sent through some completed WU to test.

Here are a couple things you can try:
Go to the Projects tab and hit Update. See if that helps.
Also, the message indicates no general preferences were found. If you've already gone to your WCG page and set up preferences in your Device Profile, then do this - click on Advanced in BOINC Manager, go to Preferences, and then hit Clear (upper right-hand corner). BOINC will then use your web-based preferences (in other words, the preferences you set up in your Device Profile).

if that doesn't work , you should try to 'reset the project'

Didn't njkid32 had the same certificate problem when his system clock was fubar-ed?:shrug: :D
