Im using 1/4" sheets of neoprene to insulate my abit quad GT for a Dice run and im wondering if I can use this stuff to hold the bottom sheet onto the motherboard http://www.amazon.com/Permatex-Clear-Silicone-Adhesive-Sealant/dp/B0008D6OEK
There are little surface mount caps and some black bar thing blocking the bottom sheet from laying flat so I cant just use some dielectric grease
Anyway can I use this stuff ?

Why do you need it to be 'held' on the backside of the board? Are you using a base plate/tube mount or something else?

Well when I mount the pot I want some other insulation under it and when I put just the neoprene down without anything to hold it down the sides pop up just inviting the water to come in :p

You just cut the foam where the caps and other obstructions are.
I have used silicone before, it works but there is no need for it really. Better get LET or just more neophrene/armaflex etc
