I'm looking to replace my aging system with a new C2D system in the next week or so. I'm looking to use it mostly for gaming and everyday stuff (Music, web browsing, IM, etc.) and my budget is roughly $1000. I'm looking to do moderate OCing on this system. I just ordered a 320GB HDD and Im going to scavenge the optical drives and FDD from my old rig, but everything else is going to be new. I'd like to keep it all through newegg if possible, but if there is another supplier offering significant savings I'd go for that. Also, I'm not dead set on any of these parts, just thought that this combo would give me the most bang for my buck.
Here's my current list of what I was thinking:

Thanks in advance for the help!

the tuniq tower is $50 at petras

http://www.petrastechshop.com/sututo120hec.html

adn tehy have better cheeper fans

http://www.petrastechshop.com/120x25mmfans.html

i like the 70cfm yate loons ($6), they have a horrid stench when u 1st install them though so be in a well ventilated aria (unless u want to get high from fan fumes) for the 1st 8 hours or so of run time, and they are load when u get them but after the the 1st 8 hours they get quieter

and if u have the money go for a better psu like a corsair hx520/620

and dont get any other ram if ur going to do ddr800mhz the crucial is as good as gets at least if they keep up with the good micron dims

edit----

make sure that u get some good past like mx-2 $6

it is way better than the as5, and use it on the cpu, nb, adn grafix (dont pull the tape off of teh ram on the grafix past wont fill the gap)

I'm not sure what kind of monitor you are using but if you are going to be working on a larger resolution I would say (if your budget can take it) get the 640mb version of the 8800 (if you wait for a sale or something you should be able to get it for about $320-340).

Other than that everything seems good. I have the DS3R and it's pretty solid, easy to overclock and the layout is pretty nice.
