Got this mobo about 2-months ago, then the other day it crashed in Vista & when I restarted it would just freeze on the loading screen sometimes it does NOT boot-up at all! On latter, system powers on (i.e. fan spinning) but blank screen. Moved CPU, memory, GFX & HD to spare ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo & works fine (ran Memtest on RAM & diganostic tools on HD).

Anyone have similar problem? & is the mobo faulty? Temps were normally around 40°~46°C, CPU 44°~52°C (load).

TIA ;)

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner - Labor Day stuff, you know.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your problem. There have been a couple of odd "incidents" with these boards recently - but only with the "g" version. Since I try to keep track of this board's issues I was interested in knowing if yours was the "g". They obviously changed something in their revision that wasn't for the better. :(

I ran a Linux demo disc on my g board and it started having problems (1 of my 5 A8N32s is Rev g). I ended up having to change the RAM from channel 1 to channel 2 to fix the issue - I was lucky. My only suggestion is RMA but I hope there's someone else who has a better answer for you ...

try turning off the PSU(so the green led on the board isn't lighted) for 5-10mins or do a CMOS reset

Thanks but tried all above even moving GFX to second PCI-E slot & still doesn't boot-up (powers on i.e. fans spinning) :(

Contacted Asus who also suggested the same & if all fails I send it back to the e-tailer I bought it form. Problem is they are in the UK & I'm not anymore. Anyway, think I'll give it another go & latter will be last result.

You did rule out the psu right? Just checking.

You did rule out the psu right? Just checking.Definitely mobo. Moved everything to spare 939Dual-SATA2 & working fine. Even thinking about sticking with it. Only problem might be re-activating Vista :(

Know that I have to call MS, but do I have to provide proof that other mobo is dead/faulty?
