Video Card for HTPC

Thinking about updating the video card for my HTPC and I keep hearing good things about ATI's HD2x00 line-up in terms of video playback support and image quality. Currently I have a 7900GS connected to my Sony rear-projection HTDV running on Vista. The main concern I have right now is that thankfully the Nvidia driver although lacking their overscan/underscan setting that is avaliable for Windows XP, under Vista, it gives just about the right setting at default to display a nearly full screen image at default without any black bars. But if I switch to ATI, will it do the same or will it offer any overscan/underscan adjustments with their latest driver for Vista.

ati will not do the black bars unless the video is encoded with them or it is being sent to a monitor or tv with a resolution so it has to resize the video to retain the aspect ratio, and u wont have the ghosting on the ati card that the 7900 u have will do

and i would say go with the 2600xt with ddr4 if u can get the his or sapphire version, his is better
