I stupidly posted this in the wrong forum (no wonder I was getting so few posts? :p: )
So I'm reposting it here.

I'll be able to take some high quality pictures (see below ), which are to follow as the whole thing is on rush processing + overnight delivery. (only paid about $93 for shipping, pretty good imo)

problem with the order

Well, this may be the last time I deal with newegg.

I placed an order yesterday morning around 8:00am for $2036.36, and I logged in an hour later to check to see if it had been charged and everything, it said the order was voided.

I went to check my email, and sure enough, void order email saying it was voided.

So I replaced the order, and something was out of stock. yay

I assume it was because of that reason that it voided.

I called them and they told me sorry it was out of stock, I can find something else as it the stock can change within a 5 minute window, not a big deal it wasn't a major item, So I went on, found something to replace what was out of stock, and I placed the new order for $2089.89.

10 minutes later I get an email saying the charge was declined due to insufficient funds...

I went up to the bank and they tell me that a charge of 2036.36 was actively debited and on it's way out...

I call newegg back twice, the first time I get a guy whom I can't understand, (take in mind there is a 15-20 minute wait time in between getting a hold of someone)

The 2nd time I get a hold of someone whom I can actually understand, and she says that it wasn't actually a charge, just an authorization to see if the funds are there.... uhhh, my bank tells me otherwise I tell her, and she says "no no no, we don't have the money, your bank does. "

The bank is telling me my money is on it's way out, and that if I want to stop it I'd have to dispute it, which could lead to my account being frozen for UP TO A WEEK WHILE THEY INVESTIGATE IT. So obviously not an option...

SO I go BACK to calling newegg, for another 20 minute wait, and I finally get a hold of someone there again, and now they tell me they are sending an email to my bank to get those funds released, so they can finally void the $2036.36 order (which according to both parties shouldn't have been taken out in the first place), so they can replace my now too late to get rush processing order of $2086.86.

I asked them multiple times why they couldn't just take the $2036.36 and charge the difference up to $2086.86 and save everyone a lot of trouble, and they basically gave me an answer that says it would be too much hassle for them and it's not worth it.

So now I get to see if they release it or not and allow me to reorder everything with the correct amount, which I won't be able to rush process, and probably won't even ship until thursday, putting me at risk to not getting it this weekend (the whole goal of placing it so early yesterday morning)..

So now I checked my balance this morning(thu) and the money hasn't been released still.

Gonna be tough to get it this weekend because of this bs.

Hopefully it gets resolved, newegg and my bank are fighting it out. It should ship today though :/

Good to know the trolls with no ability to provide constructive feedback are alive and kicking.

That really stinks! I've been a Newegg customer for a few years now with probably 25-30 separate orders and I've never had a problem like this. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

Sorry to hear about all this...I do know how it feels to have something as exciting as a new computer delayed. It'll get there, just have patience.

And make sure you get some numbers and pictures to us!

Ive placed about 10 orders with Newegg and nothing like that has happened. One order I tried to place was declined when my shipping address was different than my billing address of my credit card, but that wasnt Newegg's fault and no funds were fought over like your case.

I ordered and cancelled something with Jabtech also, and my refund came promptly. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Nice rig though... love the camera.

well i used to work for customer service with Bank of America (they suck MAJORLY btw) and what happened was you ordered your first order and newegg got to the point of "checking" or authorizing your credit/debit/whatever card, when that happens your bank holds the money out of your account waiting to see if a receipt or confirmation is going to be sent in, can take 1-3 biz days normally (legally they can take a year to confirm your order) BUT the key is your bank is holding the money out of your account think that because it was authorized it was fully spent, well it can take between 3-5 biz days for your bank to get the idea that you didn't really get anything out of the deal and drop the hold. then your balance is fixed. and the other order can go through, the bank i worked for in cases where there was an obvious mix up with the authorizations we'd delete them on the spot and the customer would have only a ~45 min delay in there life.
