I really didn't know where to put this, sorry if it's the wrong area.
I bought a Alphacool LCD Display that takes up two drive bays and it came with a USB cable which supposedly you run through a empty PCI slot and plug into the USB port.

Is there some type of adapter I can use to hook this up maybe directly to the mobo or something? In the link above notice how he hooked it up in the second paragraph, only nothing is shown on doing it.

Yep, I have 3 or 4 LCD Displays made by Alphacool.
Do a search for "USB B to Internal Female Header"
http://www.frontx.com/pro/c522_024.html
That is the site I have ordered all my cables from, 2feet is plenty from front to mobo headers. Although takes like 2 weeks to get to me haha.
Hope this helps.

Wow! Thanks so much. Does it really take you two weeks to get it?

You can customize the size, get at least a 2ft cable, in most occasions the 2ft cable is plenty even for my Stacker 830, and its hidden nicely, not too much cable, not too little just right for any spot on the front.
The only problem I had, it took them a month to get it to me, I even had to dispute with paypal because it took so long, and I didnt think I was going to receive the item at all. It eventually came though  Im not really sure at all what happened to cause it to take that long, but I wasnt happy. You may have better luck as these cables are hard to find, so I just order and wait :)
They are pretty hard to find as USB B Male to Female Internal in my experience.

I had already ordered it from the first link you gave (free shipping) for $6.20 but that's cool now I have tucked away both sites in my bookmarks (linkstash) in case I ever need them. I knew there had to have been something out there that would work. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use thing as intended.
I will just use it externally until they ship it to me. It makes me happy just knowing I'm getting it eventually. I loved the Alphacool the first time I saw it.
Off-topic for a minute. I ordered all my parts for my new build and have all the parts here except for one item HP Tech Station. The one vendor decided to ship it UPS instead of Fed-Ex (with out telling me) and it sorta disappeared, no one knows where it is. Finally, this evening I emailed them and told them to give me a refund and they said they tracked it down and I will have it Friday after 10 days:mad: This is my first time building a system and I was so anxious to get started. I couldn't believe this happened. Okay, I'm done venting.
You have a real nice rig:up:

it tells you everything. why buy that when you can already have sensors on your computer and programs with just a click away?

Looks like a cool accessory for sure. What kind of viewing angles up/down & side/side does that LCD have? I'm having a hard time deciding between something like the Alphacool or a Matrix Orbital. I like the size of the Alphacool but like the display type of the Matrix...decisions, decisions :p:

lol..... I love my alphacool LCD, and you're right, who can be bothered to click something when we can have it put directly on a LCD at all times?

With my computer directly next to me, I can sit at about 160* and still see it fine. maybe 150* but you can completely customize the AlphaCool, no presets at all only in the colors that they are blue/white or inverted. I can see it pretty much from anywhere in the room, I have owned both the 5.25x1 and x2 models.
Highly recommend the Alphacool, although the Vista x64 driver is lacking, and also causes usbhub.sys to crash on shutdown. Anyone else have this problem?

Works OK in Vista 64 for me. Did you get the latest driver for it? There are somethings missing in Vista 64, but overall it's OK.

No, I've never once got a BSOD at shutdown with the LCD. I'm using driver version 1.0.2 (RC1) located here
