There is an Air Liquide not 200 feet away from where I work. There rent tanks for a little under $100 bucks a year.

I haven't rented on though, I just asked when I was pricing nitrogen. I ended up buying a used 5 foot tank(I think) for $110 off craigslist.
I don't know how it is with air liquid in US but here in sweden all airliquid rental bottles have intergrated regulators. remember it can be hard to fill random bottles as gas supplier normally don't accept other peoples bottles.

Well that tank was full already. I don't think I will have a problem though. I like in a pretty small community, comparatively, so I should be able to find someone.

ah well nitrogen is always good ^_^
i would get them, its a good price, the ones i sell at work are a couple hundred more then that.
I personally think they are good enough for the price, was going to get one myself until I found out my dad's friend has a car repair garage with everything I need for my cheapo phase (if it even deserves to be called that, I got half the parts for free, the kayl evap I bought costs more than all the other parts combined)

I own a similar welding kit, but fpr brazing copper piping, I use a Smith Quickbraze. It is MUCH more handy because of the lesser weight and more flexible hoses. And it comes with a C-tip which has 5 flames heating a pipe equally around which makes brazes a lot easier because you dont have to move the torch around.
I found the Kit alone (without regulators) at http://www.jandrweldingsupply.com/ for 214$, the complete kit including regulators (only interesting, if you live in the US and have these kind of fittings on your Ace/Oxy bottles) comes for 450$.
There is also an ebay store which sells these kits cheaper:

I would recommend getting the kit without regulators at the ebay-store, also get at ebay an oxy-bottle (5 litres will be enough for a lot of brazing) and a regulator and then get a propane bottle with regulator at your local dealer. This will be a pretty good setup to start with.
Later you can return the propane bottle (here in Germany there is no renting fee for them) and get an ace bottle, but they are more expensive than the oxy bottles, so I would recommend using propane for a start and better get a good brazing kit.
