Yay. There are a lot of these threads, sorry for creating another.
So last night I shut my computer down after not having problems over two years, and this morning I hit the power button and NOTHING. I tried the motherboard start/reset power buttons, and still nothing. I've tried the usual, checked all connections, reset the ram and video card (don't want to touch the CPU if I can avoid it), and I checked the power coming to the PSU, there is not a problem with the incoming power.
I don't have a testing device at this house to test the PSU with, but is there anything else I could try to make it work? I read something about hard drives causing problems - I attempted to unplug them and reboot, with no result.
I also tried vigorously shaking the PSU and mobo, and as I had expected, no result, lol.
anyone have any ideas for the mean time? suggestions?
by the way, the rig in my sig is the one that's sick.
thanks, yan

update.. i checked everything. PSU works fine, and what jumpers? the mobo has a small built in switch for power and reset on it, there aren't jumpers. those unwired, so to speak, switches were the first thing I checked. I think it must be somehow motherboard related... what can I do to the motherboard to check it and see if there is anything that will make the old foul beast running.

i had this problem with my antec psu, sometimes it would turn on sometimes it wouldnt, most likely your pc has failed, try it in an old p3 pc or something?
