How powerful of a soldering iron should be used? I only have a 25W Radioshack iron.
How fine of a tip should I use?
What is the best method to pull the resistor off? Should I grab it with some tweezers and pull upwards as I melt each side of it? Any special tips/methods to doing this?
How powerful of a resistor should I replace it with? I am looking to have 2.7-3.3v available after the mod.
Thank you. :)

The Radio Shack 25 watter is fine because i used that solder iron to do the vmod.
U can look through this (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12914&perpage=25&pagenumber=1) thread to find more info
I chipped it off with a small screwdriver. Try to solder the resistor out first then if that doesn't work use the tweezers.
A 1k pot should do fine.

Thanks for the tip. I was originally intending to do the mod in hopes that it'd help my TwinMOS PC-3700- but the stuff is now instable even at its rated speed, using the worst timings available on the IC7. RMA'ing the stuff.
Kinda suprised, got my TwinMOS PC-3200 Winbond BH5 stuff @ 225Mhz, 2.78v (the highest the board can go) right now. Not to bad for the old cheap stuff.
You think that the PC-3200 would be capable of doing 245Mhz if it had 3.2v pumped into it?
That would eliminate my need to buy any new ram altogether.

245 is optimistic, what is the default SPD speed of that ram? cl2.5?

Its default speed is 200Mhz (PC-3200), rated cl2.5 and it does this speed 2-2-2 @ 2.6v. At very lax timings it does 225Mhz @ 2.78v, *almost* all stable.
