8800gtx slowdown

so i got my friends 8800gtx a couple days ago and here the problem

sometimes the score in 3dmark06 and cinebench 10 opengl test is less then half. and i reboot and it fixes everything. i have no clue whats going on. running 162.18 drivers and havnt done any ocing.

my psu is a 2year old PC&C 510W can that be the problem?

Well if he Sli's in the Future he will require a 850+Watt PS. Why buying a 650 and then if he wants to Sli buy another 1?

Open up CPU-Z

go to the Mainboard tab

Look at Link Width... if it's x1 and not x16 then that could be your problem.

If so... up your BIOS PCI-E Frequency a bit (its at 100 probably (???), try 105))

okie problem fix. i disabled threaded optimization and it works just fine now. thx for the inputs
