hey guys i just bought an e4400,

i have water cooling, but i lost the extra screws to fit it on the intel 775 socket. The water cooling was cooling my opteron 144 before on the 939 socket, so im wondering if you can suggest some air coolers. Im gonna try to find matching screws at a hardware store then maybe assemble it again.

something that snot more than 40 bucks shipped. Anything out there?

yes i plan to overclock the crap out of the chip.

You can easily reach 3GHz with the stock cooler as long as you have the proper mobo ;) Alternatively, try TU120Ex, Tuniq Tower and of course Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B with two fans (push-pull).
Too bad you lost the screws :(, you could achieve a 3.6GHz under w/c ...
:off: Guys, my pleasure to join Xtremesystems ... :)

yeah .. that's what i was thinking of.. its mobo prob .. ok ..one more question .. what is the safe limit for vcore ..i hve set 1.4750 v.. for 3.2ghz .. and vmch is 1.5v and vfsb is at 1.4v.,.now ultra 120ex is with two 120mm fans in push pull config .. so are my voltages within safe limits .. also .. will this mobo be able to clock q6600 to 3.6ghz .. ?

went out got some screws and fit the old water cooling, not too bad, what is the highest voltage the e4400 can take?

post signature of what rig is, hard to help without know what you got man.Or just post specs....we really don't have a lame signature rule here.

A 650i board hitting 400FSB with a quad is very, very unlikely. 320FSB is my guess for 24/7 stability.

I'm not sure how the 650i's get along with E4xxx and E2xxx chips....I know they're fairly good with E6xxx chips though.

You can never generally know, depends on the part ... For instance, i've seen an E6600 @ 3GHz @ 1.2V  Can't be 100% sure ;) You can maybe reach 3.6GHz with 1.4 - ~1.5V ... Highest voltage now ... hmmm can't really say ... You can try and tell us though :)
