Hi all,
This isn't information for me, but I've seen on another forum that someone has changed the 18w DDC to run at 5v using the old school swapping of the yellow wire into the 5v source from the PSU plug.
Now, I'm sure someone called SphOOn used a resistor in the past (took a fairly large one though IIRC) so the method that the other user has used before surely must have downsides? Such as killing his pump further down the line?
Can't understand why you would buy an 18w pump and run it at 5v?
Getting a 10w DDC would have been the clever thing to do surely?
Want to know as I want to warn him is something should happen.
Edit: Oops wrong area, mods should think about re-arranging the forum layout since adding the new Cooling services and customer/builder relations sub sections. Put me out of sync a few times.
