probably about right. Bad Axe 2's and other 975x's in general are best for high multiplier chips with their natural performance advantages. But nowadays with the P35 out and X38 coming soon...

Actually, the max fsb with a BadAxe2 and Q6600 is around 380-395 top. Myself, I cannot even boot up at 390 ;)

I still think the Bad Axe 2 is a great board. You get great performance, stability, and I can get one for 100$. You also get CF support. the 2900 Pro's might be a great CF Combo, or when ATI drops the new 65nm R600 chip.

I really like this board too. Right now I'm doing some oc tests and booted
Windows @ 3.4GHz (9x 378) but got a BSOD about 10 min. in.

Then again I've been having random freezes and crashes. Mainly because
I didn't do a clean install yet :p: (just poped in the HDD from my old rig).

Going to do a clean install tomorrow then really start pushing the board.

So what is this thing about an X2900 Pro?
