First I will give my system specs:

E6600
2GB Ballistix Tracers 1066
150GB Raptor
320GB WD Caviar
PC P&C 510
BBA x1950xtx CF Edition

All watercooled.

Now the problem is that I press the power button, it does the double boot(not the problem) then doesn't do anything. The blue lights on the bottom of the memory light up, but the lights showing it being used don't light up. Nothing gets put onto the screen, not even the bios info screen.

I tried to boot it with no memory, one stick of memory, two sticks. Im gonna try another pair of memory sticks tonight. I cleared the cmos, took the battery out too.

This is really frustrating me, any help?

Good mobo,but she doesn't embrace DDR2 533 nor 1066 MHz sticks...:D
I guess this is your problem.
Just see the official link (http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/motherboard/motherboard_detail.php?pMODEL_NAME=IP35-E&fMTYPE=LGA775).
Good luck,man!:yepp:

And I was worried I was gonna have to RMA my board, I will give this a try when I get home. Thanks!!

Could there be a bios update that allows the faster memory in the future?

crucial memory should work with your board...i see a lot of guys have the same on the Pro board...the chipset is the same, no difference other than you do not have raid and uguru.

i am thinking this is beyond a memory problem...you will know once you use different memory in it and get it to post...if you do, set the vdimm up to 2.1v...now, save the new bios setting...let it re-post to the first screen and then, shut it down!...swap out your memory with one stick of the crucial...now, power up to see if you get a post screen...if you do, you know that stick is not working correctly...all memory should at least post at 1.8v vdimm...that is the JDEC specs.

have you used this memory before on other boards?

if you get it to post, you can try a bios update to the board if you are working on the original factory shipped bios...if your bios ends in 10 then there is an 11 bios out for your board.

There are two LEDs...red for PSU in standby/ON, and green when PC is ON. You should see the RED LED as soon as you turn on the PSU switch. Take the MB outside of the case and put it on the shipping box. Remove battery for 1/2 hour. Put CMOS jumper in CLEAR mode. Reseat CPU. Install one stick of RAM. Connect only one clean HDD or a used HDD that has been Zero-Formatted (no previous data). Connect one optical drive. Put back battery and CMOS jumper and reboot PC.

You may also want to strip the board bare except for one stick of RAM and see if you can access the BIOS.

It works in my RD600 that I just swapped out.

I bet if you have a pro version itll show postcode 8.7....

I had this problem, ( I went through 3 rma cos of this ) and Im pretty sure its because Im tightening my waterblock too tight... try to reseat it but sometimes the pins are already bent that even loosening it wont work.... good luck..

That is what happened when I got mine yesterday. I switched it off (psu on the back) and hit the power again. Did it a few times and finally booted.. Since then I have had no problems. Great board.

I had the same exact problem with that board. I would have the PC shut off after changing a bios settings, and then my LEDs would all flicker, and nothing would happen. Reset the power - and it boots, but even though it shows your overclocked settings at post, you go into Windows and you are running at default. Go back into the bios, save it, and hope the problem doesn't happen again. Complete pain the ass experience with that board for me. Along with the PWM overheating with an overclocked quad made it a not so good board IMO.

I couldn't figure it out - so I just RMA it. Got a P35-DQ6, and don't get that issue anymore. When I save a setting, the computer shuts off, and turns on properly.

I havent even gotten a bios screen, no HDs spinning up or anything.

I have the same problem here with Asus P5K-E/Wifi. After I change a setting in the bios, the system goes to reboot to apply the new setting but nothing happens (fans spin but just a black screen, it doesn't post, no bios beep).

I haven't managed to fix it. Currently have board sitting overnight with bios battery removed etc.

I found the problem. It was the Apacer 6400 RAM. The RAM was only a few hours old. Either the motherboard killed it, or it died by itself.

The board is working again now with Corsair TwinX XMS 6400C4 (2 x 1GB).

So I RMA'd my board and put the new one in, same problem. Unless I am doing something wrong, ABIT is a garbage company. After vowing to never purchase an ABIT mobo, I continued to try and get this to work. The bios never comes up, fans spin up and keep going but still no boot. Any combination of memory, including no memory at all, changes nothing. I also tried the combinations with ddr2-800 memory. Somebody please help, my other mobo died and I would love to have a functioning computer. Is there an ABIT rep on the board somewhere?

A friend of mine had a similar problem.....try removing the screw thats holding the graphics card in and wiggle the gfx card about in its slot....try again without screwing it back in.

Got it figured out. I got a 1gb stick of cheap memory and tossed it in slot 4. Then I started it up and it booted! Yay! So I went into the bios and changed the memory voltage to 2.2v and shut the pc down. Switched in my DDR2-800 ballistix and started it up again, now it works like a charm!
