I know for a fact that my motherboard is 500+ fsb capable, but the Q6600 won't stabilize at 377 or boot past 388.
i know the p965 chipset is older then most and not the best to oc the q6600 but is it motherboard or did I just hit the unlucky fsb wall of the quads? I've tinkered around with several sittings and im sure that I can't boot over 388fsb even with all mobo voltage options maxed and cpu vid @ 1.6v
I even removed my vdroop mod just as a precaution and that wasn't it either.

bite the bullet and buy another one? or buy a new mobo?

My old P5B Deluxe was the same way with a QX6700. As stated give 401FSB a try. That kicks in the 1333FSB strap and relieves some stress from the FSB. If it doesn't work or you want more speed then it's time for a P35 board.

was it worth the money going from the p5b to the p5k?

Im thinking it may be the CPU.My old 6420 did 512 FSB no problem. My new GO 6750 hits a wall at 475 tryed everything to get it to load windos .I remeber seeing some one on this forum hit 3.8 with a quad and a P5B.Post your batch #.
