I will suggest you to get a Ultra 120 X.

I own an Ultima 90, the result is not impressive. Ultima 90 is just about the same performance as a Tuniq Tower 120.

With the possibility of upgrading to a quad, a TRU120Extreme should be the bare min- especially considering the fact that most prolly you will OC.:p:
It's the best in air-cooling.:)

At stock or moderate OC, even the lighter and smaller ultima90 will be good enough as the performance matches the TRU120/Tuniq120 and those are not bad coolers just coz the TRUE120 is better.;)

For your present 939, both of them would be almost an overkill as whether the TRU120, Tuniq tower 120 or the TRU120 extreme aka TRUE120 all are way better than a Big typhoon- the Darling of many out there when 939 ruled.:yepp:
So your purchase should be with the future in mind.

For a 90mm fan heatsink to be on par with Tower 120 I would say that's pretty darn good.

I would go for a Ultima 90 because of the new mounting price/performance ratio and the base surface should be flatter than Ultra 120 extreme

mounting is the same

what makes you say that surface would be flatter in ultima 90??

the ultima use a different mounting than the Ultra 120 extreme (scissor), also, i say the surface should be not would be.

DO NOT BUY THE ULTIMA 90...its frought with hardware nightmares with that backplate and the studs they use on it...you know how the studs are held in place?..they use rubber "O" rings so to keep the studs from falling to the ground...got news for you...that is easy to do if you bump it on the bottom of the board trying to find the mobo holes...i had to super glue the studs!

AND...the 90mm fan clips would just bounce off the fan with the slightest movement...finally did a plier adjustment to make the tips twist in more so to get them to dig into the fan screw holes.

don't WASTE your money on the Ultima 90...spend a few more bucks and buy the Ultra-X and an extra set of clips from sidewindercomputers.com.

why don't you suggest people to save up and go for watercooling, since this heatsink does not wroth its cost. i am sure theres always a con/pro for a product, nothing is perfect.

i was also thinking to get either the ultima90 or the HR01, but if the clips cant hold it, can silicon be used in order to hold it?:hehe:

IFX-14 if money is not a problem.
