I have a few questions for you about this compressor....
Do you have a pic of it? (does it have an accumulator attached)?
Did it use r410a?
Do you know what it came out of?
May have found some info... but really need to know the answers to the above.

All I found about Matsu:banana::banana::banana::banana:a (=Panasonic) compressors was from Panasonic Malaysia:
https://pcom.panasonic.com.my/pcom/products.asp
The type you have is not listed, but they have an email where you could ask:

Its scroll?? I'm fairly sure it'll be too large for our applications but i'll let someone with more knowledge chirp in

I´m unable to find exact specs also on the industrial site, but if you look at the chart with the power range, CS series is from 2 to 5kW, which is 2.7 to 6.7 h.p.

dammit :/
hmm this was a nice oppertunity when i saw the airco that was touched by a car, that's why the company was getting rid of it. but i never thought aircos are using that large types of compressors...
Hmm must a hit a smaller airco at the company i guess :D

get it!!! those are expensive, and if you cant find any good uses for it ebay it, people will buy it!
also if it doesn't have a internal pressure release, i know a few people here would like to play with it in a autocascade

Or build a chiller capable of cooling one bottle of beer in less than 30 seconds :)

Why stop at one bottle of beer? Cooling of beer is a surface area problem also, not a capacity problem ;)

Yep it is a scroll. The CS series is a new line of scroll compressors for home/small business AC systems using r410a from Panasonic/Matsush i ta. That why I asked about the gas and if it had an accumulator. I found a link to them, but no specs on individual models, I'll try to find the link again and post it.

r410, so it would have a higher pressure burst panel inside?

Quite likely I think, buggers up the autocascaders plans :P

no, you want the higher pressure one, the r22 one would be rated lower
