Hey all,
i would like to get either of these fans, but i would like to know which one you guys think look better? as in looks i mean as in the fan itself, i have chosen these 2 because they are both silent and produce fair amount of air which is good. The case is gonna be a Lian li v1000B+ which is black, so what do you guys think would match my case?
cheers

Nexus, results with the Noctua are questionable. At least from a performance point of view. From style point of view, id also go with the nexus.

yea, i thought that too, im just looking at some reviews, and the performance of the noctua's are impressive which they spin faster then the nexus and provide more air and more lower noise, by about 2 dba, which i don't think is noticeable, and the noctua's provide abit more air also, do you guys think its THAT noticeable? im leaning towards the Nexus, looks so sexy
Noctua
NF-R8 - 17dba at 53 m3/h
NF-S12-800 - 8dba at 59 m3/h
NF-S12-1200 - 17dba at 81 m3/h
Nexus
80mm - 17.6dba at 34.4 m3/h
92mm - 19.2dba at 45.9 m3/h
120mm - 22.8dba at 62.7 m3/h

The only problem with the noctua's is the fan blade design, which causes it to produce little static pressure, alot of reviews dont focus on those key points. You may get decent results using them as case fans however it is NOT recommended for using them on CPU heatsinks or radiators, and this statement comes directly from Noctua themselves.

yea, i would like to use one of these fans for my ultra 120 extreme also, and the rear and the front and 2 mounted at the top of the case, so Nexus Fans is a definite for sure yea?

Id go with the nexus, they are equivalent to the yate loons and ive always liked the white and black coloring.
Edit: oh yeh, they cost less :)
Edit edit: oh yeh, get them from PPCS and they come sleeved ;)

I love the way my white/black Nexus fans look. Much better than the Noctua ones IMO.
