I haven't seen a clear vdimm guide anywhere. People always describe it in pieces then someone else gives their tips, so that's kept me from trying it again.
I screwed up my first nf7 2.0 mobo by following the bits&pieces tutorial. so until i get a good explanation of it, i'll stay away.
For the nf7's high vcore/fsb problem. Before my TrueControl arrived, I couldn't run above 220fsb with 2v. After, i could run 232fsb with 2v. That was with my first 2500+ and the 3.3v dial turned to max on the Panel. With this new 2500+ it needs 2.1v to run 2515mhz, but the highest i can go is 228fsb, but i would love to use my 238fsb, so the high vcore/fsb problem has appeared again.

I am also limited @ 232 mhz fsb with 1.95 volts !
All the dials are turned to the max !
Damn
Now I can only get 2330 mhz !
With 2.1 volts this DUT3C can do 2450 and I can use the extra mhz !
Im think ill be getting a barton which can hopefully get nice clocks with less than 2 volts !

I'm still interested in writing a vio guide, but I never have found enough info :(

Congrats if you wrote the guide !
Vio would be very helpful !
Can you at least give me a way to mod the true control to get better voltages or disable the voltage safeety valve !

A word of caution on the bartons... as one that used to own one (2500+), i have to say they don't like high fsb's. I was stuck at about 220 (therabouts) with my barton, and switching to a 1700 b core I gained 15 mhz on the fsb with no further effort. Config of everything else stayed the same. Since you already have the 1700, I would say stick with it... all the cache of the barton really gets in the way of the fsb.

Looks like you had a bad chip my friend cause my Barton would do 235 no sweat. I loved the extra cache.:)

U can also use a diode insertet in th brown wire whit ring markings on diode pointing to psu!
It gives u 0.4-0.6volts more!

I have just completed the Vdd mod shown in the link. It work perfectly until now. Before I couldn't get past the 220 Mhz FSB, and this with a 50 cm fan blowing in my case. Now I can hit 227 with 32 degrees roomtemperature.
I chose not to use a VR to complete this mod, but I have painted the resistor with silver conducting paint. I don't know exactly what the value of the resistor is now, since my mesuaring device is broken.
