Blue screen crash with Cat 7.8’s, 2900XT and FSX?

I’m wondering if anyone here is using the new Catalyst 7.8’s and FSX. I just put a new build together using a 2900XT 1GB video card, AsusP5K Premium and a Core 2 E6850.

Evert time I go to run FSX within a couple of minutes of flight the computer crashes and I get a blue screen message that refers to “ati3duag.dll”. I’ve only loaded a few games so far but everything else (other games) seem to run fine.

7.8 are pretty problematics of what I've heard so far... you should try the new 7.9 Beta or go back to 7.7 ;)

Do you mean the 7.9 Beta from Visiontek? They are supposedly only for the 2400/2600 series cards.

Unless there is a official Beta 7.9 from ATI that I don’t know about.

oh... then you should downgrade to 7.7 and wait for official 7.9 release ;)

my 7.8 wont install.

bring on 7.9 , just hope the bio shock hot fix will install.
