I was wonderig what OCs you guys have achieved (on air or otherwise). I have the 1Gb HIS model, but all are welcome. I could run 860/1050 for 3dmark06, but it doesn't seem stable in gaming when I OC with Overdrive.....kinda weird. I just got the adapter cable to run Overdrive, so does anyone use this for OCing?
I hear that Rivatuner increases the memory timings when you OC....so many that's why I was stable before..
I'm on stock cooling as well.

Was just looking for a thread like this! I have the 512mb version and it benched 05 at 886/1000 on stock cooling...now on water it's doing 900 core but it seems to hit a wall there where voltage doesn't help.

So at 886 are you applying more voltage? I'm assuming that you're OCing with ATI Tool....
What do you run 24/7 for gaming?

Huh? You have a 720W OCZ XtreamGamer? Well right now I'm running 798 in BF2142....stable for about an hour. Now I'm going to up it.
Are you using ATI Tool, Overdrive, or Rivatuner?

Ok I definitely suggest reseating with AS5. With my OC of 823/1070 I didn't break 70C in the Lost Coast stress and my idle is 50C, coming from 73C in Lost Coast and 53C idle....woot. I always clean my CPUs/GPUs with the arctic two step cleaner....this stuff rocks for surface prep. Rubbing alcohol just doesn't cut it compared it.

I have determined that I am stable for 1 hour plus in BF2142 at 843, but at 848 I get a frozen driver after 20 minutes or so....I'll need more VGPU to get more OC. ATI Tool doesn't support the 1Gb yet I don't think....for voltage that is.
What PCI-E frequencies are you guys running for 24/7 use? I'm hoping that mine will allow some stability....I'm at 115 MHz right now, but I think mine can do more.
EDIT:
My max GPU frequency for 24/7 gaming (not just 1 run of 3dmark) is 843...848 will freeze after some extended period gaming.....need more VGPU!!!! Anyone know of a way to increase the VGPU with Rivatuner?

Running Rivturner and ATI Tool. Highest i got stable for 06 was 860core 1055Mem
Truckchase!

Can't do VGPU w/ RT. I think the only options are as follows:
ATI Tray Tools: No 2x00 support yet, but works in Vista. Supports changing VGPU and VMEM. Hopefully someone will buy Ray a 2900 so he can support it...
ATI Tool: 2900 support (- 1GB), VGPU/VMEM changing, but no Vista support. Will I'm hoping w1zzard takes a liking to Vista. :D
Riva Tuner: 2900 support, Vista support, but no ability to change VGPU/VMEM.
ATI GPU Tool: I dunno, I haven't used it. Don't think it's a magic bullet tho....

No, no added voltage:D Adding voltage either doesn't work or doesn't help for some reason. (with ATi Tool) Actually atm it's really :banana::banana::banana:ed up....none of my games are playing well, I thought they were better when I first got the card (maybe I was imagining things) DIRT I get 20-30fps, lost coast only high 40s (I'm sure it was more on X1900XTX), DOD mid 40s (and this Was definately 60+ about 2 days ago. Fear is a disgrace too and...actually so is almost every game. Not sure what's happening cus driver re-install hasn't helped.
Oh btw I can bench at 914/1100 now but it's pushing things plus the fact that the card can't game makes me think I'll be returning it tm.

Very interested in the results here as I am ditching nVidia and going for a Crossfire set up.
How much of a performance advantage is there with the 1GB cards over the 512MB cards?

negative performance advantage :S and I have one lol

I can run benches at 901/1070 with water cooling. Occasionally I can get 914 GPU if I can get the volts changed in atitool quick enough before it freezes up..

Maybe no performance advantage right now, but when I run 1920*1080 in BF2142 I consume this much memory!
I wonder what the massive DX10 textures in Crysis will use....

Thanks for all of feedback fellas. It's been so long (think back in the 9800XT days circa 2003) since I had an Ati card I wouldn't have had a clue as to how to push it beyond stock clocks before this thread.
I was reading this (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2159) review and they seem to have been able to overclock their card(s) nicely. Eventually I would like to throw an EK Full Cover (http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/images/R600_red2.jpg) waterblock on the card and really see what it could do.
@binormalkilla - From what I have read over the past few days the DX10 games are where the 2900 cards are suppose to shine. I'm sure you knew this already. I guess I'm just convincing myself to make the purchase sooner than later. :D

Yea I ordered Vista Ultimate x64 tonight, along with a 500Gb WD Caviar driver :D 2Day Fedex.....just found out that it probably get here 'til Monday...meh
ANyone know if you can give FedEx your CC number to upgrade after it's shipped?
I discovered that my lockups most likely are due to Rivatuner hardware monitoring rather than an unstable OC.....punkbuster has issues with Rivatuner. I'll be testing some more tomorrow. Vacation days FTW.
I tested my stock clocks vs OCed clocks in Lost Coast stress test, and found that 743 core vs 843 core yielded ~14 FPS difference!

I tried rivatuner special graphics info but shows no timings. Also i tried ATI tool 27b3 and the mem panel says this is not supported...
Any ideas?
