for hours i am now searching for a tool wich works to edit the bios of my both sapphire hd2900xt cards with 1024MB.

dumping the bios is no problem, but editing.

it's not a secret that there must be a way,
because of some results from kinc, elmor & macci...

i send a pm to each of them, but i didn't get an answer till now :(

i would be very thankful for an answer of only one of them, a pm or
if somebody else knows that tool or just can help a little.

stucking on 31k 3d05 with default cards... that really sucks.

i don't like that "secret flashtool thing" - so please tell me...

thanks a lot to everybody who wants to help

You've got an answer from me.

There is currently no tools avaliable for modifying R600 bioses except within AMD so we are stuck with bioses with pre set clocks which we are not to share (atleast yet) unfortunately.

i tried too.. no luck either. the tool is amd's and the people who have it are not allowed to share it. it is not that they are only hording it to keep the records. if it got out in public they would not get the acess to the new tools in the future.
ati tool may get crossfire overclocking working soon and i guess that is our best hope.

Answered your own question. Only a select few people have access to the custom BIOSes required to OC crossfire. In short - ATI sucks

@afire: i dont think so, i like ATI since my first 9700np.

i had a lot of fun with my last 3 CF-Setups and i think 30600 3d05 with nearly stock cards isn't so bad.

but it's a pity...

will see how to improve - i'm hopeful that amd/ati helps a little

@elmor & jimmy: thanks alot guys, first i was very depressed,
but now i'm on my way... ;)

Its been like this before with atis internal clokctool for X1800 series. Only a selected few guys had that tool. Then wizzard came around and solved it all. But this time he cant do it unless ATI fix it within the driver. And as you know 2400 & 2600 CF oc works with overdrive in the new cat 7.8. I heard a bird whispering that 7.9 may be the one for 2900. When it comes to overclocking support compared to NV, ATI sucks I agree.

What are you using to dump the bios? I used to use atiwinflash for my X1900XT but it doesn't find my HD2900XT.
