Or you can do it for free with a little piece of wire, there are'nt any stores that sell the adapter that you mention, nor are there any etailer's in my country(UK) that sell them, I only saw one store in the US that stock them. Anyway this is what I did to unlock the overdrive function in CCC.
First I made 3 loops with the wire.

Then placed the wire on the 3 pin things like in the photo

I confirm that this mod is 100% working and as you can see it's not ugly, I think it's cute looking:up:

Because the extra ground wires increase the possible current flow. ;) Added stability. Me personally I wouldn't do the mod as described here, but as long as it works for you, be happy about it.

Sometime ago I was planning on getting a 2900XT (it didn't come to be though) so I modded (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=64778&stc=1&d=1190537843) the 6pin PCIe powerplug of my Seasonic M12:

If I soulder I will loose warranty on the card. And if I was so worried about it coming loose then I could have just stuck a bit of tape over it;)

You guys still enjoy wasting your money on unnecessary things.
