Radeon 9700 Pro vs. Nvidia 5900 non-pro

Neither of those choices if you're looking to spend any decent amount of money, I'd recommend the 9800 pro personally. The 5900 just seems to have some very mixed thoughts from the peeps. Not enough good said about it to justify the cost -vs- chance on it. The 9800 has more than proven itself.

i dunno, at first i was into the 9800/5900U as well, but i took the time and look carefully at those benchmarks results.. the difference between the 9800P and the 9700P is around 5-15 fps, and if you're actually playing the games, and not just benchmarking them, you'll never be able to tell the difference between 110 and 120 fps, for example.
with the money i'm saving i can buy myself some other nice stuff, like changing the Altec Lansing APT3 to APT5, getting better PSU, good heatsink, and so on

also, considering i'll buy the 9700P and that i'll wanne overclock it - what is the best way to cool it using air ?
