This post is to show some interesting cooling, it is a way to mix booth cooling methods, like Water Cooling + Dry Ice this will give you really low temps and you could cool more than just the CPU.

As i remember the loop was closed and they used alcohol in it so i could move without getting frozen they put the radator in a box with more alcohol with dry ice on it, the only issue after 3 or 4 hours was condensation all over the place.

In this case was used to cool the CPU (venice 3200+) north bridge (Lanparty s939) and GPU (cant remember the model but was a cheap one).

This was not made by me but by Dr. Cooling, it was a overclock competition between Chilean Overclock sites, we won :p: .

good one

you could have insulated it a little :p:

which one is you

I would call it forced convection.

I think thats the future of dryice cooling but i may be wrong. I actually have made similar device already but my first test with 160w bench failed as there was block in the loop and flow rate was practically zero. I have found the problem but not tested it yet the second time.

If things go as planned i will test this next week. Then we had some comparable results between this kinda cooling to some containers.

I got this far but there was just not any flow

hey ilkkahy what pump did you use in that contraction of yours.. ???
and god damn that avatar that you have hahahah makes me laugh every time i see it.

That wasnt our setup, we runned normal Dry ice tube on CPU+VGA.

I'm not there this is me :p: :

Its grundfoss which has three pumping power options (30, 45, 60w). But pump was not the problem. There was flattened hose inside those urethane insulations but so it should work the next time i try it.

Oh, I remember the day they took that picture of me. I was very happy in those days :)

sorry to post so late, but i didn't saw this soon... I can't even see your pics.

We have a lots of problems at the begginig when we open the loop and try to pump the alcohol direct of the box were the dryce was cooling the alcohol, the pump can't move the alcohol because it pump only CO2 gas and no alcohol... zero flow.

When we close the loop and used the alcohol with dryce in the box to chill the radiator the problem was solved, the flow was almost normal and the chiller began to work...

The pump works very fine, was a mcp650 and no problems with the low density of the alcohol or the temperatures.

Metro you choose a picture that I look almost than handsome like ilkkahy avatar
