I just finished a sorta budget dual core AMD computer, using a SATA hard drive and DVD combo drive + Biostar motherboard
none the less, I go try to install windows XP, all is well after the first service pack is installed...
then after tryin to get service pack 2, it stops operation and indicates service missing and terminates and uninstalls service pack2
so just checking if it was something to do with the windows update, i try to go to help and support...well all of a sudden I find its gone....and the computer needs a service known as "Help and Support"
I ran regedit to check if the help and support key is there, and I find that it still exists in the registry.
any reasons to why this is happening?
it may have nothing to do with it, but I set the harddrive to be formated into NTFS could that be a bad thing for SATA drives?
