Anyone have any experience with shading (pencil mod) a resistor for reducing vDroop on a P5W.

There are scores of pictures for doing it on a 1.0G board, but Ill be damned if I can find anything talking about 1.02G. The resistors aren't the same layout entirely.

I saw in one pic it said to "replace 50Kohm resistor with 51kohm VR". Well...I measured what appeared to be the same resistor and it was at 100Kohm exactly. What gives?

I can take pictures if necessary, but its NOT the same layout.

I am getting a Q6600 and I am confident that I HAVE to lower the vDroop for a successful overclock. Otherwise I am just going to heat the crap outta my system.

Vdroop mod to 1.02G is the same as for 1.04G ...

I tried this mod long time ago and work ok.
