Complete with all the hisses, crackles, and hardware whines.
Oh yeah, and some smooth DnB backround music

Retail E6850 @ 4923MHz (~1.7V on Dry Ice)
Asus P5K3 Deluxe Wifi/AP modded vcore/vMCH
Kingston DDR3 @ 681MHz 5-7-5-14 1T
XFX 8800GTX (OC) @ 828/1050 (~1.482V/2.1V on Dry Ice) no shader mod
Western Digital 500Gb (AAKS) SATA2
Silverstone 1000W

#7 Overall in hwbot
#5 Single card in in hwbot
#4 8800GTX results (single or SLI) in hwbot
#1 E6850 based system in hwbot

It's definately an interesting benchmark, requiring a fine balance between vGPU and core clock. I had to adjust vGPU right down to the third decimal place to get 828MHz stable. With ~0.002V less it would pixelate and freeze at the smoke near start, with ~0.002 more it would black screen at the smoke near start. Basically that smoke is a killer  .......... :dodgy:

Nice job Tim :toast:
Now mod those shaders and go do it again, the gain is big ;)

Im really tossing up whether to mod them or not, given that on different cooling media it will max out at different levels. Once i start playing with DICE its hard to stop benching and do an hour of prep work while pumping in the pellets, instead of using them for scores :)

Good run;).

Very nice for only Dryice, and not bad score for this "low" CPU clock.

wow i wish that benchmark ran that fast on my pc :( looked like you were fast forwarding compared to my system. congrats

Good job

Why an hour? Bios flashing only takes a few minutes I do mine in the middle of LN2 runs. ;)

Yup, and you can use a "standard" frequency ( when I say standard I mean one that works on most cards with dry ice cooling )

Nice run mate now that was fun to watch great score too.

Thanks guys.
I meant an hour to optimise it including testing, but i suppose just a safe number would be good.
What's generally a safe shader for DICE?

nice cpu you got ;) and your results are great too

1998MHz S.D. should be fine with your config T_M ;)

hehe that's a fast AM3 - nice vid :)

Just checked an old screenshot, and at 864 core, my shader is 1944MHz, so the above run would be somewhere around 1900+

2106MHz, should be fine ( but may need to rise the Vgpu a bit ) [ while keeping the GPU & Memory clocks the same ]
