Ok, I have two raptors in raid 0 and a clean install of XP pro. My question is when it starts up, it wants me too choose between two identical choices. It looks like this:
windows (default)
windows (default)
It counts down if you don't choose. Why is it doing this and how do I make it go away. I think I posted this in the right section, sorry if I didn't and mods feel free to delete it. Thanks for the help.

Your system obviously thinks XP is installed twice. Were there any issues when you installed the O/S?

No, I don't think so. I slipstreamed the raid in (cause xp won't do a raid correct?) and all went and is running well. Is there a way to make it only have one? So, is it running xp on both (in the raid) or did it install it on both and only is running the os on one?

I think you might've had an earlier install of XP, you can edit your boot.ini and delete the line that doesn't have a use as long as you know the other line is of no use.

I'm pretty sure its in a raid, has both capacities added together and says raid. I don't know how else to tell. So, because it is showing two copies of xp, does that mean it installed two sets of xp on the raid or one xp on each hd?
Thanks for all the help guys, I'll try what you guys said. It won't be untill Thursday (I work 4 12hour days and I usally don't feel like doing much else), but I'll update and let everyone know the results. Thanks again.

I installed XP on my raid 0 with no problem and did the F6 driver install with a floppy. But I did this on a freshly formatted drive(s).
Maybe you need to format and remove all traces of earlier installs? Because if there is only one install of windows then you will not get the "choose" screen. ;)
posting the boot.ini would really help you know

I can't seem to find the file. Where is it located? I found it by going to run and I put:
C:boot.ini
It says that it is a read only, but I only see one line that says windows. Thank you.
