I would just like to share my experience with vlite 1.0 final. It has been a success, I stripped the DVD down to 680mb to be exact which now lets me burn on a CD instead of a big DVD :p: does not sound that small but Vista is huge, this along with some good reg tweaks and such you have a pretty good OS

Yea I also decided to strip Vista down a lot but still that didn't help with the worse performance I'm getting in games on Vista so no thx. :(

Secrets.. none here, download vlite rip what you feel you don't use DONE.
what bad FPS, come on its not that bad.. why not download one of the eXPerience releases, one I fancy is the TinyServer 2003 which is a stripped down Windows Sever 03 SP2 install disc with huge amounts of reg tweaks and is made to feel like XP

Be careful of the vista performance pack hotfix (2 fixes). With vlite'd vistas, you will not be able to rename files and some other minor bugs if you don't apply the registry fix found on vlite's website.

Funny how you say, I actually have links for the hotfixes and info about vlite in my sig on another forum.
I actually have not had a chance to try them yet as I left to work out of town
