He eva2000,

looking good mate.
580 FSB with a E6600 is not something you see every day
Can you tell me what the difference are between bios 1001 and 1404.
What was the max. FSB you had with bios version 1001.
At the moment I 'am still running bios version 0803, because up till now I could not find someone who convince me to change my bios version.

well done and nice E6600 you got there :)

have you tried max fsb @ /numproc = 2?

Nice to see you moved up to phase change cooling.

Grats on your personal record bumps. Ive hit a few this week myself. My return to the Hall of Fame (Futruemark)

I believe you never had CPU's beyond 500fsb. I always tought that was bad luck. Good to see a nice chip with really high FSB

well done and nice E6600 you got there :)

have you tried max fsb @ /numproc = 2? isn't /numproc = 2 same as no /numproc at all meaning both cores for dual core cpu ? my FSB wasn't the problem i could hit 580FSB with both cores. Problem is heat or maybe lack of vcore (cpu raw mhz limit with both cores 4480mhz, with numproc = 1 4560mhz)

I believe you never had CPU's beyond 500fsb. I always tought that was bad luck. Good to see a nice chip with really high FSB :up:on water all cpus walled at 485-495FSB with exception of my Q6600 B3 ES 495-500FSB and E6700 L629B079 at 514FSB (but on phase maxed 532FSB). This E6600 L709A958 on Asus Blitz Extreme walled at 485FSB water so maybe suspect board/bios issue ??

wow these L709 chips are monstrous, just like Before had been saying before :D

580 is quite impressive FSB for that chip.

wonder if 600 would be possible on dry ice! :)

Interesting discovery, i plucked my E6600 L709A958 into my Asus Blitz Formula for the first time on Corsair Nautilus 500 cooling to test the max FSB wall and look what I found out:

E6600 L709A958 max FSB wall:

Asus Blitz Extreme with Swiftech G4 Storm water = 485FSB max with DDR3 memory
Asus Commando with Kayl Black FrozenSS 1/4HP = 568FSB max 32M PI (http://i4memory.com/showpost.php?p=71684&postcount=17) and 580FSB max cpu validation (http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?p=71584#post71584)
Asus Blitz Formula with Corsair Nautlius 500 water = 530FSB so far!!!!!!
Looks like some fsb issue with Asus Blitz Extreme or some DDR3 memory settings holding back max FSB ??

Did a quick run on Blitz Formula @8x450FSB 4:5

So the 485FSB wall on Asus Blitz Extreme wonder if it's a DDR3 timings/subtimings issue ?
