How is it a lifetime warranty if its voided whenever new types of ram come along... (such as DDR3)? Not to be rude, but just wondering

I'd also like to know the answer to that.

Its "Lifetime" warranty because it is the "Lifetime" of the product not your lifetime.

A lot of products are like that. They usually define what "Lifetime" means in the fine print.

One stick of my F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ kit has defected. I was wanting to know if I should go directly to the gskill sight and fill out an RMA form. How do I know its bad? after my pc would crash out of many memory intensive program, i decided to run memtest. After five test failures after only the six minutes using manufacturer specs, my pc decided it will no longer boot until I removed one of the sticks, and remains that way. I hope lifetime warranty means this kit is still covered. thanks....

i stayed a fan of G.Skill till i saw this thread

not giving the upgrade option is very bad since many other companies do offer this service for free and i myself tried it before

Edited: They sent me another stick ! You guys rock ! I never got a notice it was coming, it just did, and USPS !

But they won't run over 470 FSB, and on the same motherboard I have another pair of PC-800 that does 490. Whats with that ?
