Hi guys...im looking for an alternative case for my rig.

Requierements: Has to be big, Horizontal, and accomodate without issues full size PSU(and future proof for 1kw psu's also).

That and 8800gtx/9800gtx(maybe? :D)

Anyway...im all ears (eyes?)

Thanx a lot.

Victor.

PS: I was checking out Danger den's Torture rack...but i want more options.

that is a custom build case, not one that you can buy. If you want horizontal, nothing wrong with the torture rack.

I prefer STC-t01, i have stacker 810 but i still feel T01 is the BEST.

Same here. I have a Stacker 810. Wish I had gotten the STC-T01. Being able to mount the PSU at the top or the bottom gives you more flexibility.

You can buy those cases HERE (http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-u2ufo-horizon-c-21_70.html) . That guy just didn't wanna pay much that's why he's making one himself.

I think UFO-horizon is what you're looking for:

I agree.

The stc-01, rc-810 and also the 830s all had the same problem, where it is hard to get a dual-slot card into the pci-bracket(i actually couldnt get my 7900GTO in at all).

there is replacement pci-bracket for the stc-01 and 830, but there is no fix for a rc-810.

So my fix was to drill out the rivots for the mobo tray in my rc-810, and CM shipped me a stc-01 tray which I was able to install..

so essentially I payed more for a rc-810 than a stc-01(I bought it right when it came out) to turn it into a stc-01 :shakes:

TJ09 is nice.
Also the Tagan Black Pearl

+1 for TJ-09/10. The mid-intake provides fantastic cooling to the usually dead-airflow VGA area, as well as looking spanking.

OP asks for a horizontal case, and you clowns start a discussion on the tallest thinnest cases.
Who's going to link the TT Mozart? (irony)

I guess part of the reason is there's not much to suggest. Apart from the Torture Rack and Quads, current case design shies away from large footprint elements.
Make your own out of one of the big old IBM cases, using a Lian-Li atx back-board, would be one way. They were almost a metre x2 and 10 inches tall.

Do you mind saying how much they charged for the tray and whom you called ?

Why not just lay a case on it's side? Same thing isn't it?

The Silverstone CW02 is a beautiful horizontal case... Just add a window to the top panel for some added bling! (It's available in black or silver)
