I just tested my new QX6800 ES. I have to say that I'm impressed.

I can bench Wprime at 4GHz (1.56V) on aircooling. It can do 3.7GHz with default voltage 1.32V. G0 rocks! :D

Setup: Crappy ASUS cooler on cpu.

CPU:

Max MHz 1.6V(4200):

Max fsb on air (490):

Wprime @ 4GHz 1.56V (aircooled) Bad time for some reason? Maybe too hot.

Can you post a coretemp or speedfan screenshot after 30-40 minutes of load @ these settings? I'm curious what your temps are...

those asus coolers are actually very good. i saw a round up in cpu power, and on a website. they rated the silent knight just above tuniq tower and below ultra 120

Yeah but that's with max fan speed. Tuniq and Ultra 120 can do same temps with less db. korrrhonen nice g0 you got there

You got the Good ONE my friend! Nice results with "that" CPU-cooler.
Kick it ass!

:D I don't think that this is stable enough to do so. I didn't test 1024m, but running Wprime 32m, all cores were between 75-84 c.

Ambient temperature were ~25c

Next I will try my cascade. It's not 100% working at the moment, but I hope to achieve 5GHz :yepp:

Great clocks!

What is the best you can do fully stable?

Sidenote* That processor is going for $1500 on newegg right now

cant wait for the cascade runs... lets hope that you will get +5ghz :rocker:

Is it an engineering sample chip?

I dont see a intel spec sheet..so....

not sure about the ES but the non ES has a TDP of 130watts!

Yes, this is ES chip.

I will test this under my cascade today or tomorrow.

water cooled of course heh
