 at wedness day, i have run som new hardcore test with my Intel conroe E6850 and cooling where Tuniq tower 120 on my Asus commando bios 1404 and Os Windows 2003 server with no tweak  and i have tested some fsb wall to and 550fsb+ are not problem :woot:

Push some speed at 4,3Ghz !!! with 1,75 on vcore Omg *

pffft you can do better than that

i've got to 4440MHz with with my E6700 ~1.62-1.63v :D :p:
nice chip man

i love these CPU they are so easy to clock high now hey :D

and your one has decent FSB too

sure you do 4440MHz with air ??? give me some prof dude

PytonOrm, why do you ALWAYS have to have so :banana::banana::banana:ing good luck with your CPUs, weren't you running like SD3700+ @ 3.15GHz, E6300 @ 3.73GHz 24/7 on aircooling. Seriously do you want to pick a CPU for me too for my next upgrade? :D

It's not fair when Sweden often gets so nice steppings too.

What will be your 24/7 setting with this one 4.1GHz?

Threads like these makes me hesitate to pick E6750.

I did 4500Mhz with air cooling(temp was -2c) :)

I must have got a bad E6600 cos all it can do was 4212mhz ( spi ) on air :(....

You and me both buddy, I thought I was doing pretty well with 4ghz 3d/32m stable with a big typhoon on my 3070.

The real question though is how all these chips do when you get 'em cold. C'mon guys get some serious cooling on these things, let's see what they can really do.

Nice chip  I'm very really to envy for you and you base in cool ambient, but for me is very very hot ambient it around of 30-33 ํC :(

thank you for sharing is batch&FPO ;)

outdoor on air with a e6600 step 630a you can easily beat the wr with less than 1.65v.

With single stage I pushed one of them about 4.44g with only 1.65vbios (~1.56v) on a p5n32-e main.

07-27-2007, 07:22 AM
nice overclock for sure :)

you probably shouldn't use W.R. around here until you actually set a proper W.R......the whole air, water, phase bla bla records don't mean anything.......it's the absolute highest frequency that really deserver a W.R. next to it

or we will start having threads with W.R. for the longest fart on the CPU and all sorts of nonsense

Endre

That's probably possible with a lot of these chips. I don't think I got an unusually good chip, but with stock Intel cooler I have been able to run PI 1M at over 4,1G with 1,57V real. It could probably do a little more, but I won't go higher on the vcore until I get a U120E (well, we'll see :P ). I'm pretty sure a 4,3+ suicide shot is within reach with the Thermalright...

Screen (http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=165480)

I know score is crappy, I'm running SC with a borrowed stick and slow timings and other settings, just to test the CPU.

I'm very curious what temp you get with the Intel stock cooler and 1,57v

Well, it was with the side door off, a powerful 120mm fan on the outside blowing straight on the cooler and ~19C ambient. I only did 1M, temp didn't become high at all actually, but I don't know exactly. I think in the 40s (C) idle. But if I'd run Orthos over some time, I reckon it would smell funny after a while. :D The difference between idle and load is huge!

ziddey
07-27-2007, 05:07 PM
i'd imagine you need to compensate it by 11'c possibly

Endre
07-27-2007, 06:56 PM
i'd imagine you need to compensate it by 11'c possiblyThat's with the programs that shows the highest temps (e.g. EasyTune). TAT, CoreTemp and others showed in the (low) 30s. But they show a degree or two below ambient at idle with stock temp and voltage, so that's obviously wrong.

ziddey
07-27-2007, 10:45 PM
That's what I'm trying to say. EasyTune is actually more correct than coretemp in this situation. Coretemp and the likes base off the delta to tjunction, but if it doesn't know the proper tjunction, your results will be off. And it'd be off linearly, so if your idle temps don't make sense, then your load ones won't either. That said, easytune and the likes nowadays should also base off the delta to tjunction in some way or another if peci is enabled, iirc. As to how the calibration on that is, I'm not sure, but in the case of my dfi p965-s, where I've tested cpu's coretemps against the motherboard's readout, I've found it to be quite spot on, so when dealing with a g0, I know how to calibrate.

I think all E6850 Steping GO can reach 4.3Ghz with vcore up to 1.6volt on air Easy.....like this :

Testet max CPU-Z yesterday with 1,6V in BIOS. Got over 4200. Still stock cooler. Didn't take a screenshot, so you'll have to believe me. ;)
