Fedex brought me the exact same thing today :D

Mine is going in in a few minutes.
I have a week 22 cpu with a pack date of 7/16

how the hell is this cpu running so cool? my ambient is around 24C....anyways I'll take it!

Because coretemp sucks. do the burn for 15min at the highest vcore and stable oc and let us know what coretemp says.

@ Grinch.. Its quite an "OK" Temp..

TJunction is reading 85C in CoreTemp.
TJunction for Quad's is 100. So add 15C to those temps. .

The tests I'd did over several months with coretemp on an naked opty 170 (using a micro ntc thermistor against the die as a basline) reported this:

Actual of less than 40c was reported under ~6c.
The misreporting increased 8 to 9c under when actually at 20 to 28c.
when actual was 41c or higher (via external probe) coretemp then became within 1.5c.
I'm sure it varies with the chip.
