It´s curious because my E6850 E0 does almost literally the same on air with an Ultra Extreme too:
Max validation at same vcore

Almost the same Spi 32m (23mhz more)

It´s nice to see that the retail one´s are so good too :D

Excellent results by both of you! I've just ordered a similar system to the OP, a E6850, DS3P (DS4 with less cooling), and some cheap Ballistix 5300. Can't wait when I see these results. The 6850 seems like a better choice than 6750 if you wanna have a "guarantee" to reach frequencies at least close to 4G stable with highend air or lowend water.
A shame with the FSB wall, I'm glad I didn't order a lower MP chip.

Great news. E6850 should be here as well in a couple days.
I'm trying some new stuff with this build, went with a DDR3 only board and going to try a TEC cooler for the CPU.
Looking to get 3.8-4.0Ghz 24/7

nicely done mate :)
what fan are you using?
very nice ... and idle and load temp??
I really don`t know ,the CoreTemp does not report the temps right with this cpu
idle < room temp :S
but the Thermalright`s base is not hot @ 4ghz
A shame with the FSB wall, I'm glad I didn't order a lower MP chip.
Unforunately the chip FSB walled @ 500 fsb on air(6x,7x,8x)
but it`s time to break some walls

Nice... but shame about the FSB wall :(
nearly everyone of my cpus is walled at 490-514FSB on water cooling LOL
bought a 2nd hand E6600 L709A958 to play with hope it has a higher FSB wall :D

Great on air/water and maybe phase but rather sad for xtreme cooling and benching :( Such chips would do at least 5Ghz on DICE if not fsb wall
Thanks for info :)

It is a great cpu for aircooling but thats about it.... all I can say is this is not what you want if you like superpi cos its soooooo slllooowwww......
@3600mhz ( 514x 7 )
E6600= 13m11s
E6850= 13m39s :(
Mine is L722a and on water itll do 4300mhz+ and fsb@ 545fsb.... good numbers but my E6600 can do the same..... kinda dissapointing

I wouldn't be disapointed. You have a very special E6600 if it does 4.3. I just ordered a 6850 from the egg. be here tuesday. My goal has been 4ghz 24/7 on good water. I've been able to make it to 3.9 on my 10th E6600. Maybe this 6850 will finally get me there.

i doubt if many e6850 wont reach 4.0
never got to test with my p35 board died as soon as i put it in lol
but my old p5b got it to 4.0 stable on first try with my zalman
my 120 extreme came in 30c load

The retail fan that comes with the Tuniq tower :)
My cpu tops out on air at 538fsb +/- But days ago i did a little test with LN2 (the board, unmoded, hanged and i had to stop early) and it changed :p:

So lui, is it fair to say then that E6600's are slower in Pi than an X6800 (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=60190&stc=1&d=1181068146)? ;) I believe the G0's are equal to any other CPU in Pi, it's all about the optimization as always. ;)
Very very nice CPU clocks, especially the prime on air, PCCriminal. :thup:

It is a great E6600 ,keep it :D
I got a nice E66 like yours,good for air (3900mhz ,room temp @ 16C ) with a high level FSB @ 580 on ice
and my new E6850 does 4ghz (room temp 25C )but the fsb wall is very low .. kinda dissapointing
anyway I`ll keep both and I will try to find another E6X50 with a great FSB potential

in this conditions the Reserator is only good for short runs,the water gets warm very fast...
this water system is not designed to manage that clock/vcore.
